What is a 1,000 Books program?

This program is designed to encourage life long learning through reading. 1,000 Book Before Kindergarten. This is a self paced program for children infant to 5 years old. The program can go as quickly as you can read 1,000 books or as long as you would like it to take! And, don’t worry! You may log they same books multiple times! It doesn’t have to be 1,000 different books. Once registered, you will be able to track your progress at the Chelsea Public Library on our 1,000 Books wall! Get started today! For every 100 books, your child will be able to pick out a prize book to keep! At the end of 1,000 books, they will be awarded a "1,000 Books" Tshirt!

How to register?

You can register online at chelsealibary.readsquared.com
When registering, sign up for you and your child. When entering the parent information, DO NOT register for the program. You will be able to add your child to the program when you inter your child’s information.
