Starting in February, the Chelsea Public Library will hold a kids coding club for students ages 8-12. This will be a weekly club that meets every Thursday from 4:30-5:30. Students will learn the language of coding, web building, site design, app building, game building, robotics, and so much more. We will be using PRENDA, an online coding club that allows students to go at their own pace, explore topics that interest them, and provide an abundance of materials to learn from.
In order to participate, students will need a computer. If you do not have access to a computer, the library has some to borrow. Please indicate when registering if you will need a library computer for class. Students will also need a pair of headphones.
Due to the Chelsea Public Library Unattended Child Policy, we will require a parent or guardian to remain in the building during coding club. Any child under the age of 12 must always have a parent or guardian in the building at all times.
